I can’t say enough about how Robbie dealt with both the work & my Dad who is very elderly & has dementia. There was an issue with the size of roof panels, but this was quickly remedied by Robby. Take down an old porch and rebuild

As soon as I met Robby I knew I had found the right builder to carry out the work. He listened as I explained I needed an old porch taken down and then rebuilt and a doorway put into the back of the garage. He confidently spoke about what needed to be carried out and made me aware of different options. A schedule of work including the price was emailed across for me to sign and agree before work was carried out. I was kept informed of progress through text messages and a photo as I was working when the building was being carried out. I am extremely pleased with the new porch.

Single storey kitchen extension

There’s builders who get things done, and there’s builders who do things right. Robby is in the latter category. Our kitchen extension was quite small, and is in a mid-terrace Victorian house. Robby took the trouble to clean and re-use bricks from the old wall in the new wall and compared to other extensions nearby, ours looks like it has been there all along and not a modern add-on. Robby will go out of his way to make sure everything is right, even though it wasn’t in his brief. For example, he turned up at the weekend to help fit kitchen units. He’s very hands-on and takes full responsibility for whatever his team or his subcontractors do. He enjoys the respect of other professionals, for example the building control team and the engineers, so construction proceeded in a trouble-free manner. Others respect his opinion and he is not afraid to suggest design changes to do the job better. He has huge experience and has seen every problem before. His prices for unexpected items are fair (as was the price of the original job). I have no hesitation in recommending him.

Having accepted our invitation to call and examine the roofing problem, Robby quickly appeared and assessed the situation. He pointed out that the opposing walls were being pushed apart by the weight of the roof and that a tie-cable would be necessary. This item was ordered and was fitted within a couple of days. At the same time he checked the various roof panels and ensured that they were correctly in place. We were aware some of the window locks were faulty and we are now waiting to hear from Robby as to whether or not he can obtain some suitable replacements.
